September 28, 2015

STOCKHOLDERS’ MEETING & ELECTION:

Saturday, October 24, 2015 at St Matthew’s EC Church, 5th and Ridge Streets in Emmaus in the sanctuary.  Registration begins at 9:30AMwith the meeting to start at 10:00AM.  Try to get there early!   Please make sure to bring your ballots to the meeting or if you cannot attend, mail them back no later than October 17th!

CIVIC:

Please join us Saturday, October 10th at Noon for our chili cook-off!    Details to follow!

HOUSEKEEPING:  Ballots have been mailed out.  Please note......one ballot lists the candidates.  The other page actually lists three more ballots, two on one side and one on the other for a total of four ballots altogether not two as indicated on the letter.  Just wanted to clear that up!

*We also need a couple volunteers the morning of the stockholders’ meeting to man the registration tables.  Please emailpmickley@verizon.net if you are interested.  You must be at the meeting by 9:00AM.  This only requires checking off names on a list and stamping the ballots.  We appreciate it!

*To those who helped stuff envelopes.....Karen Berard, Judy Smith, Beth Nahodil, Lois Morrell and Dick and Joyce Souilliard.....a big thank you for your time!  It made the job much easier!

* Two items were found at the kummesse.  One is a children’s sweatshirt and one is a women’s lightweight jacket.  Please emailmailto:pmickley@verizon.net,---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------if if they belong to you!

* Anyone interested in having a tree planted this fall in memory of a loved one at the Memorial Forest in the park, please contact Dick Souilliard at his Waldheim Park number at 610-797-8448.  Trees will be planted the week of October 12th.  Cost is $175 per tree and payment must be submitted to Beth Nahodil, 46 Waldheim Park, Allentown PA  18103 by October 10th.  This price includes the tree, planting and mulching.

* REMINDER (again) – please park your car or cars in your assigned parking spaces.  And please do not drive on the walkways!  They are designed for foot traffic not vehicles!

* We received sad news about one of our former Waldheim Park resident and board member last week.  Our deepest sympathies go out to her family and friends.  Cards may be sent to her son, Scott Sneddon, at 710 Ravine Rd, Downingtown PA  19335
