May 13, 2016 Update

Good morning!

There are a few things to update you on:

Don’t forget to reserve your seat for the kick off banquet for Waldheim Park! The deadline is May 21st.

Also, the deadline for ministries patrons has been changed from May 20th to June 26th. Please consider donating towards our services!

Saturday, May 21st at 9:00 AM – we will be meeting at the kummesse for clean up day. Areas to be cleaned include the kummesse, the tabernacle and the bathrooms. Bring your rakes and leaf blowers!

Saturday, May 28th at 9:00 AM – we will meet for another clean up day. We will be working on the pool restrooms and the showers.

Pizza will be served both days for lunch at the kummesse.

- We need people to wipe down the pews once a week this season starting in June. Please contact Judi Smith at 610-791-5747 if you would like to help out.

Remember to rake up the leaves around your cottage and take them to the road nearest your cottage by June 15th. Do not pile your leaves behind your cottage. Hornets are attracted to piles of leaves around the cottages. Also, keep the grass and weeds around your cottage cut back to discourage fleas and ticks. And keep empty containers turned over to discourage mosquitoes.

Also, there are a few cottages that have “junk” piled up around them. Waldheim Park is not a storage place or dumping ground for unused items. And it is not visually appealing to our neighbors or visitors. Please keep the area around your cottage cleaned up!

Summer rent is due and payable by May 31st. After June 1st, penalties and fees will be added every month until your rent is paid.

- The Civic Association will be holding a yard sale on Memorial Day, May 30th from 8:00am to 1:00pm! If you are interested in reserving a spot, the prices are as follows:

Residents:

$10 for a spot in the circle without a table

$20 for a spot in the kum esse with a table

Non-Residents/Vendors:

$15 for a spot in the circle without a table

$25 for a spot in the kum esse with a table

Space is limited so contact Rachel Diez or Clover Fasolka to reserve your spot today! Rkdiez@yahoo.com or (201)452-5279.

Also, if you have items you'd like to donate to civic to be sold at the yard sale, please contact Rachel or Clover!

- There are still dining discount cards available for purchase. They are $10 a piece and give you a 10% discount on food purchases at the following area restaurants: Louie’s Italian Restaurant, Applebee’s, Alburtis Tavern, PrimoHoagies, Moe’s, Pickle’s, Dickie’s BBQ Pit, Dominoes Pizza, Dunkin’ Donuts, Cali Burrito, Italiano Delite, Pizza Hut, Saladworks, Wentz, Pita Pit, Pizza Max, Arby’s Yo Fresh, Fiesta Ole and The Burger Company. Most of these places are located near Waldheim Park and would be great to use during the summer while you are living at your cottage and don’t feel like cooking. They are good until next April. Please support the park by purchasing a card! Contact either Rachel at rkdiez@yahoo.com or Clover at cloverfasolka@gmail.com or reply to this email at pmickley@verizon.net.

NOTE: We operate the park on a volunteer basis except for pool life guards and leaf clean up throughout the park, which is a monumental job. Volunteers help the park save money that is used for much needed repairs/replacement/maintenance of deteriorated roofs of park owned buildings, electrical wires, water pipes, roads, etc. We are blessed to have such dedicated people! And every little bit helps! We thank all our volunteers for their time in helping to maintain our community!
