January 29, 2016 Update
Good afternoon!
Just some information to share:
Please keep the date of Saturday, March 19th open and join us for breakfast at the Sacred Heart Senior Living Center in Northampton from 9:00AM to 10:30AM. This will be our first fundraising event of the new year. The cost is $12.00 for adults and $8.00 for children under 12. Proceeds will go towards updating the sound system at the Tabernacle. Spread the word!
A HUGE thank you to all the residents in the park who helped other residents shovel out from underneath 32 inches of snow last weekend!
Kudos to Tim Roland, Bryson Berard, Billy Shiner, Mike and Marisol Sosnowski and Michael Sosnowski for clearing the area around the mailboxes and for shoveling out the Knapps, the Scanlins and the Danekers. They were truly grateful for your compassion and hard work and wanted us to pass along a big thank you to everybody who helped. Thanks also to Herb and his friend, Tim, for clearing out the area around the dumpsters. We are blessed to have these volunteers! One friend of Waldheim Park drove through the park on Monday morning and commented on how well the park was cleaned up after the storm. He was very impressed!
For those of you who live here during the winter, just some FYI. Giant offers delivery service for groceries. Go to http://www.peapod.com/ for more information. Also, Weis offers to do your shopping, but you must pick up the groceries when they are ready. For more information on that go to https://www.weismarkets.com/shopping/online-shopping/
FYI: The Board generally meets every other month during the winter. So if you submit a request, it will be tabled for the next scheduled meeting. As a side note, the Board is working on several issues right now and it’s impossible to get everything taken care of at one meeting especially if they need further research, discussions, mailings, phone calls, etc. We will continue to keep you informed as we address these issues. Please be patient with us. Thank you!
Have a wonderful weekend!
