May 23, 2017 Update

Good afternoon!

A few things.....

NOTE: Due to the extensive disrepair of certain areas of the pool and the fact that we have had rain almost every other day this past month, the pool will not open for Memorial Day weekend. We will notify you as soon as we are done taking care of the repairs and painting the inside of the pool.

We are also in the process of hiring lifeguards. You must be 15 years old and have a certified lifeguard certificate. This is a part time position only. Contact Karen Berard at 484-347-4670 for more information.

We need gatekeepers at the pool! Please contact Judi Smith at 610-791-5747 if you are interested. This is only one hour a week and you can pretty much pick your own hours!

At the last Board meeting we discussed several amendments to the by-laws. All of them have now been voted on except the parking situation in the park at our cottages. At each cottage, there are two designated parking spaces (some don’t have any). A few cottage owners have more than two vehicles parked at their cottage. The board is trying to resolve this situation as to where the extra vehicles may be parked without the appearance of a used car lot or residents abandoning their extra vehicles altogether. Discussion will be held further on this.

On the other amendment regarding engaging a realtor to sell your cottage, the Board discussed this and voted to disapprove this practice due to the privacy and by-laws of the park. Cottages may be advertised on the Waldheim website, in your church bulletin or by word of mouth.

Saturday, May 27th at 3:00 PM – a wedding will be held at the Tabernacle. Out of respect, please refrain from using power tools or any loud noises from 3:00 to 4:00 PM.

Volunteers are needed to dust the pews and stage area on Friday morning in order to prepare for the wedding. Please feel free to wander up to the Tabernacle to help with this task. It is greatly appreciated!

Do not forget that all the leaves around your cottage must be raked up and moved to the nearest road by June 15th for pickup!

Also, now that the park is open, please do not drive up or down thru the circle to get to the main road OR drive on the walkways in the park. These walkways are meant for pedestrian traffic only! Thank you!

That’s all for now!
